"THERE DO EXIST ENQUIRING MINDS, which long for the truth of the heart, seek it, strive to solve the problems set by life, try to penetrate to the essence of things and phenomena and to penetrate into themselves. If a man reasons and thinks soundly, no matter which path he follows in solving these problems, he must inevitably arrive back at himself, and begin with the solution of the problem of what he is himself and what his place is in the world around him. For without this knowledge, he will have no focal point in his search. Socrates’ words, “Know thyself” remain for all those who seek true knowledge and being."

Patience

THE PERFECTION OF PATIENCE

"Patience is not learned in safety. It is not learned when everything is harmonious and going well. When everything is smooth sailing, who needs patience? If you stay in your room with the door locked and the curtains drawn, everything may seem harmonious, but the minute anything doesn’t go your way, you blow up. There is no cultivation of patience when your pattern is to just try to seek harmony and smooth everything out. Patience implies willingness to be alive rather than trying to seek harmony."  ~ Pema Chodrun

Breath

Study the areas of the brain.
Read ISOM re influences - all parts
Continue relaxation of muscles around any pain experienced
Continue listening and modulating vocal tones -
Observe when there is real empathy or compassion when interacting with others and when there is not. When there is not, what is there? (Note observations in journal without analysis or speculation, bring to next session.)
Observe how you breathe, changing nothing
LISTEN, sensing your body at the same time, and as you:
BREATHE IN, Check for locations of tensions
note the stop
BREATHE OUT, RELAXING TENSIONS
note the stop

all the while listening,
moving, walking, talking, living

Listen

"If you could really hear yourself and knew what you were saying you would be very surprised at how the truth comes out despite yourself. You must wake up and learn how to listen - to yourself as well as to others."
