"THERE DO EXIST ENQUIRING MINDS, which long for the truth of the heart, seek it, strive to solve the problems set by life, try to penetrate to the essence of things and phenomena and to penetrate into themselves. If a man reasons and thinks soundly, no matter which path he follows in solving these problems, he must inevitably arrive back at himself, and begin with the solution of the problem of what he is himself and what his place is in the world around him. For without this knowledge, he will have no focal point in his search. Socrates’ words, “Know thyself” remain for all those who seek true knowledge and being."

On Forgiveness Of Snakes

from the: Lalo The Snake Catcher Stories
"Apprentices"
Chapter III: In Service :Note  from Lalo to apprentice snake catchers on Forgiveness of Snakes
by LL ~ 2008

"Forgiveness of a Snake is essential in this business if you are going to be a master snake catcher. However, do not mistake the idea of forgiveness for a magic wand that will keep you safe. Forgiveness is an act of compassion, not a prophylactic, when it comes to most snakes.

When you forgive a snake for having bitten and made you ill
Do not then fall asleep in it's presence.
You will be bitten again
Unless you stay awake.

Do not be lulled by the flute and the smoke
and begin to rock back and forth to the tune.
Stand in your shoes,
ready to catch it and put it back in it's bag
with Love."

In These Moments

I stand in front of you,
You stand in front of me.
If we are both present

In

the Moments we stand thus,
what need is there for words
except,
maybe,
to ask  directions to a friends house,
or to pass the salt,
or how to perform some outer task?

Words are useful in the world.

In Here,
The Light in our eyes
Is all We need to
Know We Are Loved.

After All Was Said and Done

"After all," Lalo said shaking her head in a determined fashion, "what can you do with such a monster as that? He is too destructive, even here. He revels in doing wrong and destroying others lives. It makes him happy to see them suffer. Other people's suffering is like air to him."

"Yes." Owl agreed"there is nothing left but to end his days here. No one can help that one, not even God. He's had his chances; you gave him too many, and look at how he has repaid you. He killed and ate your best friend, created chaos in your household, stole your money and nearly sucked your energy dry. I would have killed him a long time ago if I were in charge of him. You were too generous with him my dear."

King Snake lounged in his house, which was really his prison as he listened to them. In his overconfidence he thought he still had a chance to go on as he always had. "Hah!. She always tries "one more time" with me no matter how bad I've been. She never gives up on a soul no matter how awful they are. She won't let me go." He hissed to himself with a smug smile on his lips. He slithered onto his big rock and curled up into a coil. Closing his closed his eyes to nap in the warm afternoon sunlight streaming through the glass roof of his domain, feeling safe and secure in these thoughts.

"I'm afraid that is the case this time Owl, he has played his last mean trick, there is not one iota of anything real in him, there never was. You've been right all along. It was all a game to him, he is not worth wasting any more time and energy on. His schemes have caused too much destruction. There's nothing left to do, but to put an end to it."

The Best of All True Things

"The best of all True things
Is a True Heart.
Without Truth,
No Happiness
Though you try a million tricks."
